The Intuit Mafia
After watching his wife wrestle with their checkbook back in 1983, Scott Cook decided money management shouldn't be this difficult and teamed up with coder Tom Proulx.
They launched Intuit in Palo Alto, debuting Quicken in 1984, a tool that beat out a slew of rivals with an interface as comforting as a trusty check register.
Fast-forward a few decades, and Intuit isn’t just a company; it’s the birthplace of a crew of entrepreneurs. The Intuit Mafia has gone on to spawn companies that get straight to solving real problems and simplify everyday hassles.

The Intuit Mafia
The Intuit Mafia has founded 245 companies and raised $19B.
