Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, commonly referred to as Deloitte, is one of the "Big Four" accounting organizations and the largest professional services network in the world by revenue and number of professionals. It was founded in 1845 by William Welch Deloitte, who opened his own accounting office in London, England. Deloitte was a pioneer in the field, being the first person to be appointed as an independent auditor of a public company, the Great Western Railway.

The firm expanded through mergers, acquisitions, and the formation of international partnerships. In 1989, Deloitte Haskins & Sells in the U.S. merged with Touche Ross in the U.S. to form Deloitte & Touche, with international Deloitte firms following suit. This was aimed at consolidating their strengths in the international market. Today, Deloitte offers a wide range of services including audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax, and related services across multiple industries worldwide. Its global headquarters is in London, England.
